Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of properties managed by Joseph Pistilli indicate significant concerns regarding management responsiveness and building maintenance. Many tenants express frustration with unaddressed repair requests, poor cleanliness, and pest issues. While some appreciated their neighbors and good locations, the management's lack of communication and support is a common theme. Complaints about noise levels, along with overall dissatisfaction with building conditions, overshadow any positive aspects. Overall, prospective renters should expect ongoing management challenges with maintenance issues and responsiveness, which may detract from their living experience.

Stay Far away

Pros

You can usually find parking. Not too far from LIRR

Cons

Management is unresponsive and dismissive. Repairs are done only if they are minor. The building is old and not kept up to date, but will raise the rent as if they upgrade. There are vermin and you can hear everything through these thin walls. *UPDATE* It has been 6 months waitng on repairs!!!! Unresponsive to emails and calls. 311 activated and no movement. Please don't rent here unless it is your last resort. They leave you no choice but to litigate. *update*. After no movement on repairs, I have broken my lease and moved as of last year.

Advice to the owners

Try to retain renters that pay their rent on time and cause no issues. You treat all of your tenants as if they are living for free. Horrible business acumen!

Dirty, Poorly Managed

Pros

Good location, fine pricing, rent stabilized if you can find it, noise isn't bad, and good neighbors live here

Cons

Terrible management. Apartment front door has not locked in 11 months. Super takes weeks to fix anything (if he remembers or answers your calls). Trash piles up in front of the building and spills out because they don't change out the bags. Rats scurry in front of your feet as you walk in the door. The heat is stingy during the mild winter days.
