HPD is to blame
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building has an elevator.
Cons:
Prior to move in the Landlord increased the low income affordable rent from $1063 to $1165 stating construction cost however nothing was done. Heat issues, ceilings caving in plumbing issues, lazy supers, walls falling stoves not working the cheapest floor titles, roaches, mice, strangers walking around, no laundromat in the basement, dirty elevator, no installation in the walls, tenants are freezing cold, spit on the walls, incorrect statements, the management company calls you and says pay your rent. The fire department comes here a lot because of the elevator.
Advice to owner:
Lemor Realty owns the building Metropolitan Property Manages the building. Sell the building to a management company that will do right by the tenants. HPD should shut the building down.
