Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants renting from Moses Mizrahi experience mixed management quality across buildings. Positive remarks include friendly, responsive management in some properties, good heating, and strong community vibes with great neighbors in well-located buildings. However, several reviewers report issues with slow maintenance response, poor cleanliness, pest problems, and crumbling infrastructure being superficially patched rather than properly fixed. Garbage management varies, and water pressure and heat can be inconsistent. Rent-stabilized buildings tend to show greater maintenance challenges. Overall, renters should expect attentive management in some buildings but prepare for patience with repairs and infrastructure upkeep in others.

Rent stabilized but crumbling infrastructure

Pros

Rent stabilized, great neighbors, amazing neighborhood, nearby subway

Cons

Not clean, things not fixed properly, everything gets plastered over, have to chase management for repairs. Super is sloppy

Advice to the owners

Pay attention to what’s happening in the building and how the leaks are all being plastered so ceilings fall in. You’re not addressing the issue just plastering decades of leaks weakening the infrastructure . It could be such a nice building.

Great neighborhood, pretty responsive management

Pros

Great neighborhood, pretty responsive management. Relatively affordable.

Cons

Area itself can be loud, especially on holidays. Some bug problems in warmer weather. However, there’s a monthly exterminator.
