Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants renting buildings managed by ALAN HANDLER note a generally well-maintained environment with clean common areas and responsive on-site staff, especially superintendents and doormen. Buildings commonly feature substantial storage and have a charming old-vibe appeal. However, residents frequently mention noise issues, both from street traffic and building hums, which can impact living comfort. Laundry facilities and elevators are often criticized for being outdated or inadequate. Communication with the owner or upper management can be slow or challenging, suggesting a need for improved responsiveness and possibly new management. Reviews

Good building if you're not home a lot

Pros

The building and the unit I lived in were both quite nice if small.

Cons

Constant noise. There is a fire station a few blocks away. Fire trucks would almost always turn and travel down this street past the building with their siren on. Being street facing and on the 3rd floor it was a nightmare.

Great midtown apartment-slight issues

Pros

Great location; amazing doorman staff

Cons

Subpar laundry facilities; issues with pet hair in laundry facilities
