Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on buildings managed by Jonathan Ruhl frequently points to persistent pest issues, notably mice and roaches, which detract greatly from living conditions. While neighbors tend to be pleasant and some units boast scenic views, the management's responsiveness is often criticized as slow or inadequate, especially regarding maintenance and pest control. Garbage management quality varies, and heating problems are also reported. Tenants recommend more proactive, lasting solutions rather than temporary fixes. Overall, renters express dissatisfaction with upkeep and management attentiveness, suggesting significant improvements are needed to enhance tenant satisfaction and living quality.

Omnipresent pest infestation

Pros

Nice views I guess

Cons

Building is low-grade infested with mice and roaches. Mice are omnipresent in the walls and will find ways into your apartment. Do not move here.

Advice to the owners

Actually do something about the mice

Former tenant·Over 3 years ago

Adequate, but old

Pros

There’s a nice view of the park and George Washington Bridge.

Cons

Apartment above has very loud, squeaky floors. Also I’ve encountered the most pests (roaches, mice) in this building than any other place I’ve lived before.

Advice to the owners

Actually fix the pest problem. Sending out the exterminator once a month to simply spray and leave out poison is not enough.
