Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by Robert Quinlan highlights responsive and reasonable management, with staff praised for their attentiveness and upkeep of cleanliness. The properties benefit from convenient locations and well-maintained grounds. However, residents frequently note issues with old, drafty windows leading to noise disturbances and heat inefficiencies. Package theft in lobbies has also been reported. Rent increases to market rates have concerned some tenants, especially in rent-stabilized units. Although pest control is generally effective, some renters are uneasy about pesticide use inside apartments. Overall, the management is viewed as prompt and approachable, providing a generally positive living experience despite a few maintenance and security challenges.

Reliable building and reasonable management

Pros

Management is responsive and pretty reasonable. Building is kept clean.

Cons

Drafty units, package theft in lobby is common

Former tenant·Over 3 years ago

Great corner location, with some hitches.

Pros

Well maintained and responsive property manager when there's an issue in the unit. Super and grounds keeper are great!

Cons

The windows are very, very old and not insulated. Therefore, the noise from the street is VERY LOUD, especially because the building is situated on an avenue. I have to use a white noise machine to get any sleep. Heat also escapes from the window easily as well. In addition, the building has been jacking up the rent to "market rate," similar to other landlords who are taking advantage of tenants during this time.

Advice to the owners

Consider changing out the windows. The door handle is also broken, please replace.
