Vanguard Chelsea has been Wonderful
Former Tenant
Pros:
Our apartment is nicely renovated, spacious, and modern. The building staff, especially the door people, are all friendly and helpful. The walls provide great noise insulation and even when our neighbors are clearly making a lot of noise, it's hard to hear from within our unit. The location is also incredible.
Cons:
While the units are great, the cost is a little high. There has also been periodic apartment renovations during our 2 year lease that have made the apartment difficult to work in (due to noise and vibrations). This has probably affected us 10 - 15 days in total over the span of 2 years.

Unresponsive leasing team
Former Tenant
Pros:
- staff are amazing
- great location
- well maintained building
Cons:
- leasing office team is not responsive
- it’s been 3 months since we moved out, and we haven’t gotten our deposit back
- noise level from 6th Ave is loud
- Something is always wrong with the elevators.
Advice to owner:
Give us our deposit back

Nice place, nasty management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice building, the units are pretty new. Great views and nice proximity to parks and Brookfield place.
Cons:
Doorman during the day has a horrible attitude - he literally files complaints against the tenants with the management rather than just saying something to them. The units are VERY expensive. Management treats the tenants like they are little kids and send emails threats about the smallest things. The gym is a joke. All the amenities are extra and not included in the rent. They will do everything possible to try and keep your security deposit.
Advice to owner:
Act like professionals and prioritize customer service as much as you do collecting rent - commitment goes both ways.

Cons:

Above average BPC building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice lobby and extremely responsive maintenance. Decent fixtures in the apartment, but tons of work between tenants means everything feels new, even if it’s not the most high end.
Cons:
HVAC confusing and output mismatched to room temperature. Elevator floors chronically smudged, but not filthy.
Advice to owner:
Consider negotiating more on prices, and possibly re-wallpaper the hallways

Great building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management and the staff were always so helpful. LEED certified - sorted garbage and had available composting.
Cons:
I had 1 intrusive neighbor who ended up moving to another floor.
Advice to owner:
Ask all tenants to compost and recycle!
