Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by ADAM RAMER reveal a mixed management performance. Pros include desirable locations and spacious apartments, with generally friendly neighbors and well-sized units. However, responsiveness from ownership is inconsistent; some tenants praise timely attention while others report delays and ignored maintenance issues, especially regarding pests, cleanliness of common areas, and repairs. Concerns about slow action on rodent problems, dirty trash rooms, and occasional noise and construction disruptions are noted. Some residents experience challenging lease negotiations and question landlord ethics. Overall, while certain buildings offer attractive amenities, management could improve communication, maintenance upkeep, and tenant relations to enhance living conditions.

Great Soho Location

Pros

Phenomenal location with spacious high-ceiling artists lofts

Cons

Older building with constant construction and honking

Criminality in real estate

Pros

Location is good

Cons

After having litigated against the rent regulated tenants for decades most of the remaining holdovers have manned the barricades and most of the tenants are now market rate people who keep their mouths shut about anything that does not work because they know that the leases will not be renewed and wind up in court like almost every tenant still here has experienced. The landlord now consists of a family who gossip has it — stole the building from the former owner — but neither the DA nor the police nor HPD lifted a finger to control the criminality involved in the operation of the building.
