Not ideal but nothing special

Very quiet residential area. No complaints regarding the neighbors or the area. If there's anything wrong with the building, he lives in it and will come right away to fix any issues. Had some problems with the toilet running non-stop and he fixed it quickly
Cons
Landlord is a massive asshole. Will try and bully you and steam roll you if given the opportunity. Just pay your rent on time and avoid him at all costs and you'll be fine. He's extremely condescending and will scream at you over the tiniest inconvenience. Been living here 2 years and I've seen 2 roaches, spaced out about 9 months apart. Both were in the evening and they were alone and killed them both. Haven't even seen a fly or a spider other than that. So all things considered, pretty clean, but not spotless. Building is a little run-down and my bathroom could've used a fresh coat of paint before I moved in, but it is what it is. Also, they won't tell you this but if you put in your own air conditioner, he'll charge you $5 extra per month. The landlord had an air conditioner installed in the unit in my living room but not one in the bedroom. He offered to let me keep the one in the living room for $15/mo but i said I didn't want it and i'll get my own and pay the $5/mo. When I moved in he said I could keep the one in the living room for free so i guess i called his bluff.
Advice to the owners
Sell the building to Blackstone and do us all a favor and never be landlord to anyone again.

Landlord lives in building and is rude/ malicious when asked about issues outside your control as the tenant. Takes his time/ requires multiple reminders to fix issues.
