Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for properties managed by Stuart Berger reflect a mixed but predominantly negative experience. While some buildings showcase cleanliness and responsive superintendents, numerous concerns about pest control, noise levels, and overall management persist. Many reviews highlight ineffective communication from management and unresolved maintenance issues, particularly related to heating and pest infestations. Although some residents appreciate the locations and friendly neighbors, persistent rodent problems and lack of prompt management responses lead to dissatisfaction. Prospective renters should be prepared for potential challenges and consider the mixed reviews on pest control and management attentiveness when choosing a residence.

Reviews

Former tenant·just now

Responsive Super on premise

Pros

The super lived in building and responds quickly. Noise between apartments isn’t bad compared to previous apartments

Cons

They have a cockroach problem and if you miss the monthly fumigations it gets worse for a bit.

Advice to the owners

Figure out a way to get on top of the bug problem

Former tenant·6 months ago

Decent apartment but old

Pros

Great lighting Great space Nice neighbors Fun neighborhood Super is very friendly

Cons

While I loved my apartment, I couldn’t deal with the bugs. Some apartments have them, some don’t so maybe it’s luck of the draw. There’s an exterminator that comes in which is great but unfortunately couldn’t resolve my specific unit. It’s an older building so that’s just how it goes sometimes. Great building otherwise.
