Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by Chaim Landau reveals mixed experiences with management responsiveness and maintenance. While some appreciate the convenient locations, good neighbors, and attentive building staff, others express frustration over poor communication, delayed issue resolution, and inadequate enforcement of tenant disputes, especially regarding noise complaints. Cleanliness and garbage management tend to vary widely between properties. Pest control and water pressure also fluctuate, with occasional reports of deficiencies. The overall advice to management includes improving responsiveness, allocating sufficient resources for repairs, and addressing tenant concerns proactively to enhance livability and tenant satisfaction across their portfolio.

Moving due to noise

Pros

Three short blocks from Kings Hwy B/Q train stop. Generally a quiet neighborhood. Just a block from many stores and restaurants on Kings Highway.

Cons

I lived in apt 3L for the past 5 years. I'm moving out due to new upstairs neighbor with two small children who ran across from one end of their apt to the other and stomp all day every day. When I went up to request them to try to keep it down, the husband threatened to kill me if I ever bring up about the noise again. I reported it to the management, but ultimately, they could not do anything, and the upstairs tenants are ignoring the management's request to lay down carpet to reduce the noise.
