Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews for buildings managed by David Tennenbaum reveal significant concerns with responsiveness and building upkeep. Tenants report persistent issues such as poor cleanliness, inadequate garbage management, frequent pest sightings, and problematic heating systems. Many cite slow or absent management responses, leading to unresolved maintenance problems, including security issues and structural concerns. Although the locations are convenient and some units are renovated, tenants frequently warn about safety risks and neglected common areas. The management is often described as unapproachable and dismissive, prompting involvement from city authorities. Prospective renters should anticipate ongoing management challenges and limited support despite rent-stabilized advantages.

Convenient Location - that’s about it

Pros

I have an updated unit, so I don’t have any complaints about my apartment: - Good water pressure - Can be Hell hot in the winter - Super up until now has been pretty good and keeps people who don’t live in the building and cause trouble out. - Fios or Spectrum internet option

Cons

- Getting a new super that is wildly underpaid, so I don’t expect the cleanliness to be upheld. - The heat/hot water goes out a few times every winter. - Occasional pest sighting - MGMT is quite literally impossible to grt in contact with - they are in the top 10 worst landlords in the city list (literally) - Neighboring building has a bunch of drug addicts with a friend in this one and can make a lot of noise. - Packages get stolen somewhat regularly

Worst Management Ever!

Pros

Close to transit.

Cons

Terrible living conditions! Front door lock is almost always broken or duct taped to stay open. There is trash littering the interior courtyard, which attracts all types of pests. My unit did not have a gas meter (due to an error on management's part) and I have now not been able to set up gas service for SIX MONTHS due to delays/incomtence by management.
