PLEASE STAY AWAY

Proximity to the subway.
Cons:
This is the worst property management company I’ve ever come across. They ignore requests for maintenance, pest control, etc. If you are looking at these reviews because you want to rent at 1130-1136 President Street, DON’T! The “bar” below the building is actually a night club and the owners are super disrespectful to the neighbors and the whole block. Between the music and the people screaming outside until 2am, you will not sleep until your lease is up. The “bar” also leaves disgusting trash all around the front doors and sidewalk and our building has mice. Stay away.
Advice to owner:
This could be a great apartment if you didn’t renew the lease for the bar downstairs and you responded to maintenance requests/pest control requests.

Pros:
Was newly renovated when I moved in. Super was pretty responsive.
Cons:
Heat was a bit weak on the coldest days. And a few times the heat went out in the winter (though, landlord did provide space heaters and allowed us to take higher electric bill out of rent.)
Street noise can be pretty loud at night!
Coffee shop downstairs can also get loud at night (though they tried to be keep it down, sometimes they would forget).

Cheap, decent sized rooms, nice neighborhood, good water pressure
Cons:
Major hot water problems when things got very cold and it took a couple days to resolve. Old appliances
Advice to owner:
Everyone likes a new fridge
