My Dream Park Slope Apartment!
Pros
This is an absolutely stunningly gorgeous pre-war building that has a lot of unique charm to it! It has a very spacious and flexible layout (having a dishwasher is a plus). 10th street is a great block to live on because it's close to the subway station, Prospect Park, delicious restaurants (Smiling Pizza and Zatar's are our favorites), shops, and more. The landlord is responsive and stays on top of the buildings overall cleanliness and garbage - I've never had a problem with pests here!
Cons
There are some quirks, but nothing that's unexpected from a building that's over 100 years old.

- Fun block with good neighbors - Close to subway + Prospect Park - Lots of space

- Unresponsive landlord; refused to fix broken things in apartment for nearly a year - Arbitrary building rules implemented whenever landlord felt like it - Landlord repeatedly lied about status of things in building - Saw mice every few months, landlord refused to do anything about it or even acknowledge it was a problem - Landlord regularly reprimands tenants for no reason
Advice to the owners
- Learn to communicate like a normal person. - Stop treating tenants like subhumans. - Address problems in the building ASAP.
