Good neighbors, bad landlord

Pros:
Good location, good neighbors, unit has dishwasher and washer dryer
Cons:
Landlord is irresponsible, irresponsible, people who work for him never show up, always has someone else to blame, is negligent about repairs.

Pros:
After living their for a year, I was able to talk down my rent during hard times.
Cons:
The property manager wasn’t responsive when it came safety in the building. We had break-ins, and I had a problem roommate that he did nothing about.

Prioritize building safety

Nice apartment, unresponsive landlord

Pros:
Small building, only 4 units so usually quiet. Nice neighborhood, plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Pretty spacious living room and kitchen area. Walls are thick enough to where you don't hear your roommates every move.
Cons:
Landlord was pretty unresponsive. Never saw or met him. He also asked us to pay rent early once. Can hear your neighbors walking, talking and other things....so definitely thin floors. Most of the rooms didn't have closets.
Advice to owner:
Put closets in the bedrooms

Pros:
Friendly neighbors in building. Quick reply for moving in.
Cons:
RATS, RATS AND MORE RATS, roaches aren't an issue. Nice, rats and rodents are a MAJOR issue. Takes forever to get anything fixed, and when they do begin to fix they do cheap quick fixes and never seems to finish it.
Advice to owner:
Address rodent problem, get a new maintenance crew or foreman who will actually complete jobs in a quality and effective manner.
