Provides no heat then kicks you out for complaining
Former Tenant
Pros:
- units are big, good appliances
Cons:
- I contacted them over 30 times about the heat - my apartment was often ~50 degrees in the winter
- when I threatened to call 311 they sent me notice to vacate. So yes if you try to hold them accountable they will get their lawyer to lie that they are a small landlord and retaliate against you.
- they didn’t tell me there was a drug dealer across the hall when I first moved in. His chemical fumes seeped through the vents, made my eyes water at night
- they did construction on a unit and released a torrent of roaches. My unit and the one below them has 5-10 roaches a day. I stopped cooking, we big bombed and it took several rounds of comparing to get them to finally hire a (legit) exterminator
Advice to owner:
Manipulating, retaliating against your tenants is bad form and illegal. Kicking someone out who threatens to call is illegal. You know you would never live like this, if your tenants are paying consistently why would you expect them to. Fire Tampa they are all over the place, not consistent and operate in bad form.
