Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews for buildings managed by Amy Rubenstein highlight consistently clean and well-maintained properties with excellent garbage management and attentive, hardworking supers living on site. Tenants appreciate prompt responses to maintenance issues and generally respectful neighbors. However, some concerns include noise from busy streets, occasional heating or AC control issues, and sharp rent increases without adequate notice. While many tenants approve of the owner and recommend these buildings, a few express frustration over rent hikes and lack of certain amenities like laundry. Overall, the management is seen as responsive and caring, fostering a safe and pleasant living environment with room for improved communication around rent changes.

Great building - fantastic Super

Pros

Building is well-managed (monthly spraying for pest control, monthly cleaning/mopping of common areas), no issues with mold. Any issues that I've reported have been quickly handled - in huge part due to the Super who lives in the building. He is extremely hard-working and kind, goes out of his way to help people. Area is safe and convenient. High ceilings, natural light. Other tenants are very respectful.

Cons

Nothing that the owners can control. The only downsides are the amount of sirens as it's on a busy road, and the building can get warm because it's an older building.

Pros

-Great Super -Clean Building -Trash is very well kept -Local Landlord (not a large investment group) -Low tenant turnover due to reasonable rents

Cons

-No laundry -Relatively quiet for east village however sometimes during the day people will sit on the citi bikes on the street and cause some disruptions however they are pretty infrequent
