Former tenant·Over 2 years ago

Absentee landlord

Pros

Washer dryer in unit, decent size kitchen

Cons

Poorly maintained appliances, impossible to reach management; we didn't get lead notices, my partner got a concussion because a WINDOW FELL IN when we had reported that the window had broken side latches to the super months prior, and we couldn't reach managment or the landlord or anything? Also the washer spits out chunks of dirt sometimes, and when you try to run a bath random spurts of rust come up.

Advice to the owners

Maybe have management that's not just "tell the super if there are any issues"?

A trade off

Pros

the washer and dryer is great

Cons

The heat is electric and not efficient. One month in the winter we paid over $350 in heat bills. The water from the tap occasionally comes out brown. I also saw several roaches in the time I lived there. Super lives on the same block and is somewhat responsive. Owner seems overall reasonable.

Advice to the owners

Roaches and heat need fixing
