Former tenant·9 months ago

Typical NYC lazy landlord

Pros

Nobody bothers you.

Cons

Mold in the roof staircase. The hot water heaters on each floor have given out. The landlord just replaces it after all the water damage and leaking into the stairs.

Advice to the owners

Get better phone responsiveness. The women on the phone are so rude and have zero information.

It’s fine, but not special

Pros

Central AC&heat!! Roof access w beautiful view of Manhattan. Mostly no fuss. Building itself is quiet- the unit across the street is not.

Cons

Lived here for three years, took about 8 months to get rid of the cockroaches (small ones), they are gone now. But there’s a sign that says an exterminator will be in the building monthly in the lobby. That’s a lie. The windows are very leaky. The super is helpful but I don’t think the landlords have him in the building for general repair enough. They repainted the hallways and have left all the painters tape up for weeks. The ladder is still in the stairwell? The follow through is not great.

Advice to the owners

Just care a little bit more
