Not Worth It
Pros
Location and space for your money. It’s a small building which is also nice.
Cons
You will never meet the Landlord. You will almost never be able to speak to management. Kazik the super is older than my Dad and wants to do literally nothing for you. There is no buzzers. There are not appropriate locks, had to fight someone off that was stealing my package once in broad daylight. My heat broke many times, and since Kazik didn’t want to fix anything, I was left cold many a winter night. Rats everywhere near the garbage. If Kazik doesn’t like how you threw something out he will bring it back up to your doorway and yell at you. All appliances outdated. Cannot stress enough that nothing can get fixed. Not sure if I will ever see my security deposit. One time I had a mouse infestation there. They got mad at me that I called pest control, pest control alerted me that a rat had also been in my apartment. Construction is also going on everywhere. Building is not well kept.
Advice to the owners
Take care of the property, be communicative, and give back security deposit and find a new super.
