Former tenant·10 minutes ago

Decent place to live because of the co-op and the tenants, not the management

Pros

Good location, very clean entryway/trash situation, good water pressure, and good heat during the winter.

Cons

The outsourced management and lack of a super made it impossible to get any help with solving issues typically mediated by a super. Completely impersonal and negligent.

Former tenant·Over 2 years ago

extremely charming yet classically old building

Pros

my roommate and I love love love the interior of our apartment. it has so much character - colored tiles, huge bowl-shaped sink and counter in the bathroom, windows covering the whole apartment, lots of brick. it is truly beautiful and hard to pass up. also has an in-unit washer dryer which is amazing for the price. building is in a wonderful location close to LES, Nolita/Soho, Noho, Stuytown, etc. - you can walk everywhere. Only 2 rooms per floor once you get above the first floor, so lots of privacy

Cons

You can't control the heat and all of the windows make the apartment extremely extremely hot even with an AC unit attached to the window. Next to a police station so can get a little bit loud. Easily worst of all, we had lots of mice in the summers. Not fun. Would still live here for all of the pros, but would bring in a contractor before moving all your furniture in to fix the problem.

Advice to the owners

fix the mouse problem
