Landlord does not return your security deposit

Pros

The tenants who take care of the building for the useless landlord

Cons

During COVID Anthony Giaco (Giacomarra) did not return any of our security deposit when we left the apartment spackled and clean, with normal wear and tear. He used our deposit to repaint the entire apartment (ceilings too) and said we should have painted ourselves if we wanted it back. We are currently filing a lawsuit. He doesn’t take care of the building at all either, the other tenants mop the hallways and clean the windows on their own accord because they are good people. Big time slumlord, stay away.
