Do not live here and avoid Apt 4D/2D

Pros:
Overall, the neighborhood was great and our neighbors were good. if you are considering renting here, just avoid Unit 4D/2D like the plague.
Cons:
Woman who lives in 3D is not well and mentally unstable. she bangs on the ceiling constantly and reports very minimal noise to the police. for the past year the police would constantly come to our apartment for noise complaints. It was horrible and happened almost daily. We had to leave after one year as landlord would not do anything about it. Avoid at all costs.
Advice to owner:
Evict tenant from 3D

Landlord harasses tenants
Alex Kahen fined by AG Tish James for bank fraud/tenant harassment-on google
Front door always broken
Packages stolen
Packages left in entry-hard to enter bldg
No recycling-garbage bin locked
Gary & Anton/Super-workers constantly complaining about having to make legit repairs-if made at all
Dead bugs all over
Advice to owner:
Sell building to better people. You're too greedy & don't care about the law.

Avoid Like The Plague

Pros:
Area convenience. Easy commutes.
Cons:
Owners are miserable, greedy, cheap appliances-repairs-super doesn't care about leaks. Beware if Michsl Himy who rips up sent rent checks to either try to get you on their bank system or evict you. Majid 'Jerry' Kahen's fsmily Jon Kahen indicted by FBI for robocalls/texts-now selling insurance but robocalls to tenants are still non-stop.
Advice to owner:
Sell the building to someone legit & decent. In addition to poor repairs & renovations, did you lower the value of the property to pay less taxes? Are you housing illegals & illegal airbnb's? Never see the same people around.

Pros:
- great sunlight in the back bedrooms as they face south and there is no a tall building behind this one
Cons:
- roach infested, you will see roaches every single day in the hallways & stairwells. and i mean every day.
- heat is unbearable

clean this place up!

Pros:
Have everything you need in walking distance and walk up hallways were generally well maintained. Received deposit on time and in full
Cons:
Difficulties in getting repairs done. Mailbox lock was never properly fixed, recurring requests for pest control, recurring heat issues. Maintenance also always left the apartment dirty if you're not home. Have returned home to scratches on the floor and drywall dust everywhere on more than one occasion.
Advice to owner:
Service repairs and coordinating maintenance need a lot of improvement

Great Management, Not So Great Neighbor

Pros:
Clean, good location, Super is very attentive and friendly.
Cons:
I’ve had some trouble with my neighbor next door, they constantly call in noise complaints and bang on the wall at all hours when very normal noises occur or anything happens at night. Even the police have taken my side because they come by so much they know something’s up!

Open up communication with tenants re. neighbor issues and complaints.

They had rats in my apartment and used sticky traps to get them out
