Crazy roommates apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very clean
Easy access to Manhattan
Cons:
I had insane roommates. They were so crazy that at some point I started believing the police was living in my apartment too. Rude neighbors.
Advice to owner:

New landlords breaking the law
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super of building is attentive and kind
Cons:
1444 Bedford Properties who recently bought the apartment is refusing to renew rent stabilized leases which is a clear and illegal violation of the rent code. They know people don't have the time and energy to fight them on this. Overall terrible money hungry people who leave the building in shambles while people are still living here.
Advice to owner:
Quit being a piece of shit

Constant Broken Promises
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good distance to the train
Very spacious and reasonably priced
Cons:
The super is incredibly chaotic, will never come on your schedule, and will barge in without your consent.
The landlord and management, while responsive, never actually fulfill their promises. My apartment was said to have central AC/Heat. I never once had that in my room and I know at least one of my other roommates never did too. We would sweat like dogs in the summer and freeze to death in the winter. It took them 6 months to take the issue seriously and actually do something. Instead of providing long term fixes, such as actually repairing the central air system, they've just given us space heaters. One roommate had a leak in their room and they sent people to come repair it. By repair the leak, I mean making holes in two of our room's ceilings and leaving it like that for a month before actually deciding to fix anything. Other stuff is constantly falling apart but at this point it's too much of hassle to have them come over because knowing them they break more than they fix.
Advice to owner:
fix the actual issues and get a different super

decent but could be better
Former Tenant
Pros:
elevator, great access to subway and buses, and great area
Cons:
maintenance repairs and requests take way too long to be fixed or mended
