Great management but rats

Pros

Management is super responsive and kind, many people work so you can always reach someone. I’ve lived in NYC my entire life and no other building was as kind and helpful.

Cons

Building is infested with rats. It wasn’t an issue when I moved in (Summer 2023), but as of right now (Spring 2024) I can hear them running in the walls at night, they chewed a hole in my ceiling and are living in the basement. Building is trying to get it under control but it’s an infestation.

Advice to the owners

Please fix the front door! It does not lock anymore

No heat, only space heaters

Pros

Good amount of space, good location. Close to train and laundromat down the street.

Cons

Stairwell and other public areas dirty. No e-doorman, no package room, packages would get stolen constantly from just being left on the street. Extremely unresponsive landlord, even with urgent requests. No heat, only space heaters in every room. Increased rent by insane amount out of nowhere. Poor appliances, with toilet not working.

Advice to the owners

Fix the heat. Only space heaters is not acceptable. Clean the stairs regularly. Install an e-doorman or insure the residents get their packages safely. Respond promptly to resident requests, especially urgent ones.
