Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by JOSEPH AIZER reveals a mixed management experience. Positive notes include spacious, historically attractive buildings and timely maintenance in some locations, with clean common areas and pest control adequately handled in better-reviewed properties. However, many tenants report persistent issues such as slow or inadequate owner responsiveness, poor garbage management, pest infestations, and noise problems. Some properties experience maintenance delays, especially regarding heating and security concerns, while others suffer from neighborhood safety worries and subpar building conditions. Overall, renters caution about inconsistent management quality and urge improvements in responsiveness, pest control, and building upkeep for a better living experience.

Beautiful, historic building but cheap finishes

Pros

The building is beautiful and has strong curb appeal. The units themselves are very spacious, offering more room than many other places in the area.

Cons

Unfortunately, the quality inside doesn’t match the exterior. The finishes feel cheap, and the walls are so thin you’ll hear everything from your neighbors. Maintenance is slow and unresponsive — it often takes multiple follow-ups to get even simple issues resolved. On top of that, management was quick to take money from my security deposit when I moved out, with little explanation.

Mediocre for rent this high.

Pros

Private elevator is nice.

Cons

Management needs training. Pest control is subpar and sporadic. Wall units means high electricity. The broker lied about management and the heating units. Takes too long to get anything maintained or fixed. Gaslighting happens about issues.
