Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants of Phyllis Jalbert's buildings praise the generally clean and well-maintained conditions with responsive management in most cases. The properties benefit from desirable locations and good neighbors, contributing to a positive living environment. However, some tenants report inconsistent heat, occasional noise issues, and pest concerns that management sometimes addresses slowly or inadequately. A few reviews mention poor communication, especially delayed responses or unannounced visits by workers, and some express dissatisfaction with surface-level or cheap repairs. Overall, residents can expect proactive management but should be prepared for occasional maintenance delays and varying responsiveness across buildings.

Great location in heart of fort greene

Pros

This apartment is large - comfortably fit our 4 roommates. Management was always responsive whenever we had issues

Cons

The heat is centrally controlled in the boiler room so there's limited control over the temperature in the winter. right on dekalb avenue, where you'll get some street noise

Close to park, updated space!

Pros

The apartment I lived in was freshly renovated- you could tell talking to neighbors that each one was in a different state, so ours seemed the most updated. You can't beat the location and access to transit and the park.

Cons

Not much communication with ownership, has a couple weird experiences with a tenant which I suppose is normal for NYC. I never minded, but the school across the street does get loud during recess if you're home during the day.
