Absolutely crazy landlord, not worth it

Pros

The apartment was relatively "cheap" for the area. The location is fantastic for proximity to the subway lines. The man who does maintenance and cleans the hallways is great.

Cons

The landlord is a terrifying older woman who once sort of threatened my family by saying she knows where they live and has their contact information (required info for lease application)...It was a very unsettling experience considering I was only calling to let the landlord know there was a leak that needed to be fixed. The windows in the building are old so you will hear EVERYTHING. All of the apartments in the building are very small 1 bedrooms, when I lived there I would not so jokingly say that my bedroom was a closet. Overall, avoid this place unless ownership changes.

Advice to the owners

Hire someone other than the Landlord who can deal with tenants professionally.
