Building is great, owner is maybe not real

Pros

Only 3 units so the security is good and it’s typically quiet. Couldn’t ask for a better location, it’s central to everything and right on bus and subway lines with Citi bike stations nearby. Spacious and affordable.

Cons

Truly not sure if the owner is a real person. The building was recently sold and they didn’t send anything to the tenants, including any info about themselves. He also doesn’t answer calls, texts, or emails. And instead of hiring professionals to fix things, he constantly sends his cousin (who is a professional in nothing) to do it - aka he looks it up on YouTube in our apartment. This typically takes much longer (wasting everyone’s time) and the things we need done could be easily fixed for a small price. Instead, they prefer to waste their own time?? So odd.

Advice to the owners

Idk just be a decent human to your tenants. We love the space and just want to enjoy it and get you your rent money every month. What’s the point in making it harder?

New landlord - is he even real?

Pros

They aren’t tearing the building down and kicking us out

Cons

New landlord has never responded to a single email and sends his cousin to perform all of the building work. Even small repairs take 1 month plus.
