Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews of buildings managed by FLATIRON REAL ESTATE ADVISORS, LLC reveal a mixed experience. While some appreciate the good locations, decent layouts, quiet neighbors, and occasional responsiveness, there are significant recurring issues reported. Common concerns include pest infestations, inconsistent heating, slow or poor maintenance responses, and cleanliness problems in common areas. Several tenants mention difficulties with garbage management and unreliable water pressure. There are also reports of unauthorized sublets and illegal tenants, contributing to security and noise concerns. Rent increases and scarce improvements despite rising costs have led to tenant dissatisfaction. Overall, management shows responsiveness in some cases but struggles with consistent building upkeep and tenant relations.

Great apartment experience

Pros

Had a good experience here! Generally no problems with bugs / rodents / etc, good heat & AC.

Cons

Occasionally slow to respond

Great experience in quiet part of Williamsburg

Pros

The building facing Cooper Park made it a very peaceful place for the most part. Very few encounters with sketchy folk in the park. Management was always very responsive. It was a great first apartment to rent in NYC. I think my package only got stolen one time. Neighbors are all quiet and the units are pretty insulated from other sound since it's an older build. A truly charming apartment.

Cons

Several unused bicycles were chained up in the back. I asked management to remove but they said they were not allowed to. Large rent increase pushed us out. We were paying $3800 and then after 2 years they wanted to increase to $4250 for a 3BR.
