Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Buildings managed by Donna Cosares generally feature well-kept premises with responsive superintendents and convenient locations. Tenants appreciate clean environments, strong water pressure, and good pest control. However, experiences with the landlord vary widely—while some find Donna responsive and the staff friendly, others report difficulties including rude communication, delayed responses, lack of modern payment options, and occasional unauthorized access. Heating reliability is mixed, and some tenants feel building maintenance and tenant relations could improve. Prospective renters can expect solid fundamental management but should be prepared for potential challenges in landlord-tenant interactions and communication modernization.

Good building. owner is rude

Pros

Donna is great. Building is good.

Cons

They took $150 out of our security deposit even though we left it better than we received it. Owner called me an was incredibly rude for no reason. I would not sign another lease with him.

Advice to the owners

Don’t be rude to tenants for no reason.

Loved living here

Pros

The location of this building can't be beat! The super is so friendly and responsive, and I never felt unsafe or that my maintenance requests etc would be ignored.

Cons

Old School landlord. I had to mail a check or walk it over and physically drop it in a mailbox. No option to text or email the owner, had to call on the phone. (this could have changed now)
