Former tenant·Over 3 years ago

Ok for what it is

Pros

Renovated apartment, pet friendly, washer/dryer, transportation

Cons

Bugs, unresponsive management, incredibly loud neighbors. People smoking cigarettes and marijuana inside the building/hallways almost 24/7. Our entire apartment smelt of smoke all the time, even when we put draft-sealers under doors to prevent it. Hallways are filthy with cigarette butts. Packages frequently stolen and management does nothing about it. The super is good, however, and will take the time to fix what you need.

Advice to the owners

Get a grip on the building. Clean it, stop allowing solicitors in the building (smoking) and make it a better living environment. A few renovated apartments means nothing when the building itself is filthy.

Owners focused on $, not on service

Pros

Close to transportation

Cons

Hallways are filthy, never mopped Garbage collects to high volumes, at times you are unable to open the door to the garbage No rent relief or accommodation extended during Covid. Heating is sparse. Internal temperatures are around 50 to 60 degrees. Neighbors are noisy. Even if internal laundry units convenient, they make the apartment vibrate and are audible through walls and ceilings. Makes living in the apartment very noisy. Owners conduct construction in the shared courtyard often and at very inconsiderate hours. The sound reverberates into all apartments. Local residents hang out in the hallways, in the courtyard, and on the front stoop smoking marijuana almost all the time. The hallways reek of the smell and the smell enters the apartments.

Advice to the owners

Clean your building.
