Former Tenant
Pros:

Cons:
neighbors are soo nosy and stick their heads into everyone’s business. it’s a co-op and they claim to be friendly but they’re actually looking for a way to fine you.

Avoid this building and owners!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to transportation and the park
Cons:
Although close to transportation and the park, 60th st is one of the noisiest, dirtiest, most crowded streets in the city. And there are garbage truck s coming across the 59th street bridge all night ling. But never mind that, let’s talk ablution the building: it’s ready to fall in on itself. The stairwells look like steps in an amusement park crazy house. There are problems with heating in the winter, landlord (Vrahos/Steve Tsolis) is always late to turn it on, very often too low a level so you freeeze, , and then pipes burst and leak — had multiple damaging leaks come in from this place while there. Landlord also at one point was siphoning gas off of tenants con-Ed lines, and running it to his restaurant. Con-ed bills went into the thousands for tenants before it was discovered and stopped. They did renovations to the individual apartments at one point without advising the tenants: took out toilet stools and showers and stoves and turned off all water without permits or letting tenants know. Court cases took months, but the inconvenience and expense to tenants was unforgettable and never properly reimbursed. I would avoid this landlord and management company like the plague.
Advice to owner:
Learn how to take care of a building. Learn to respect tenants or get out of the business.
