Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants renting buildings managed by STEVEN KASHANIAN experience a mix of positives and notable challenges. While some buildings offer clean and quiet environments with respectful neighbors and useful amenities like elevators or in-unit laundry, many reviews highlight poor management responsiveness, especially concerning serious maintenance issues such as heating failures, mold, pests, and inconsistent water pressure. Garbage disposal and hall cleanliness are often subpar, and several renters report difficulties reaching management during emergencies. Communication gaps and a lack of tenant empathy are recurrent themes. Despite decent locations and some renovated units, prospective renters should be prepared for occasional infrastructure shortcomings and uneven management quality.

Unit is fine, building is horrible.

Pros

Nice interior of unit, dishwasher, large space, pretty brick, high ceilings, water included in rent.

Cons

Mold growing in the basement where laundry is, always nasty hallways, roaches around. Heat never turns off in the winter, super is impossible to get ahold of. Trash is rarely taken are of.
