Overall Not Bad - Decent First NYC Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management is responsive if something is wrong, you just have to stay on top of it and remind them constantly. Apartment was really big for the price, and conveniently located by laundry, subway, and TJ’s.
Cons:
Shattered front glass door, stairs feel like they might fall through at any time, “valet trash” aka there’s nowhere for you to put trash, sometimes they come by to pick it up sometimes they just don’t. Be wary of the streeteasy posting, the broker is the worst and will just lie to you. Not all rooms fit a queen bed, there is no laundry in building or second bathroom or building garden. The postings always lie.
Advice to owner:
Get a new broker.

Good value in Chinatown
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great sound insulation between apartments and windows. Good value. Generally young, relaxed neighbors.
Cons:
Location can be hectic. Cars honk at all hours. Roof terrace has been left to decay and will start falling apart in the next few years. Roach infestation was beginning just as I moved out. Maintenance is slow - typically takes about a week tho they do eventually follow thru. Won't proactively fix things - for example you need to point out broken dryers before they will fix them.

It’s ok for the size of the apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large space. Good location and easy to get wherever you need to go. Laundry right below apartment so don’t have to go very far. Great first apartment for New York for the price.
Cons:
Packages are a pain to be delivered. Either have to be there or hope someone else is to let them in. Sometimes they just leave them. Super isn’t great - comes by to fix things but doesn’t really do anything about it and says there’s nothing to do. Usually blames it on something dumb that’s in fixable and you just have to be aware of it. Overall management was just not great and it was hard to get them to fix anything.

Cool building but
Former Tenant
Pros:
I lived here for a year water and heat are good good things about this location you are closed to soho LES the train is a block away, floor to ceiling windows some apartments have balconies
Cons:
OK first and foremost getting in touch with the management or the landlord good luck they are non-responsive until very very very last minute there is no doorman so people steal packages there is a laundry mat downstairs but the machines are old and the neighborhood in front of the building You have vendors starting from 6am Selling bats clothes shrimp you name it and it becomes really dirty last year wasn’t like this now just getting worse and worse so I would avoid this place...side note they enter you’re apartment without notice this happened to two other neighbors and they honestly have no compassion or sympathy I’m talking about the brokers or management I don’t what to call them but their names are Richard Wong and Kevin Wong.. they are liars and thieves please guys stay away from this building
Advice to owner:
Better at being responsive. Instead of having you’re brokers reach out to teametd about multiple issue talk to us directly there noooooo way to get a name number of owner
