NYC starter apartment

Pros:
Convenient location, has all the appliances you need, and the building is cleaned every week.
Cons:
Management is not the best. Super loud neighborhood, thin walls

Amazing location
Close to shops and the L train
Cons:
Kitchen and bathroom are poorly designed (no venting hood), ok if you don’t really cook
Room in front of the street are rather loud
Can get hot in summer if you don’t have an AC
Price increase are crazy

Lower the rent

Advice to owner:
Would make it a smoke free building. The central air and heat carries all sorts of odors, such as cigarette smoke, throughout the building.

Nice location. Interesting rooftop. Modern design.
Cons:
There were bedbugs in the apartment (major issue).The top room had no heat. The landlord was not fairly responsive in certain situations. No elevator with steep stairs.
Advice to owner:
Treat your tenants fairly. And make sure there are no bedbugs in the building.
