A great building
Pros
We’ve lived in three apartments in NYC over 10 years and this has been our favorite. The building is clean and well-run, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent.
Cons
No current complaints. Renters cannot access the bike room or parking, which is a bummer.
Genuine Nightmare of a Co-Opt
Pros
-landlord was great -location also great -entryway is clean -laundry in building -feels safe
Cons
-co-op application required 4 personal recommendation letters prior to approval; 3+ week process with multiple interviews -an interviewer was (on record) rude and passive aggressive upon the first interview -management company was beyond disorganized and unprofessional -the same interviewer/board member suffers from emotional dysregulation despite being in very late adulthood; is consistently aggressive/rude towards tenants/visitors (on record), makes aggressive advances and is commonly heard screeching/yelling in common areas, multiple tenants report similar encounters
Advice to the owners
-Do not rent here if you are looking for something longer than 2 years (its against board policy)
