Pros

The new apartments are renovated. You are able to pay the rent online.

Cons

The building is in pretty bad shape. Hallways are disgusting and you’ll find homeless people sleeping on the stairs in the winter and people smoking weed in the entrance during the summer. Yes, your children will be breathing in weed smoke to get home. Loud music outside at all times of the night, especially during the summer. You’ll also have to walk through a crowd of people in the summer because they do barbecues on the sidewalk.

Advice to the owners

Renovate the hallways and secure the front door. Stop allowing your tenets to smoke weed in the entrance.

Pros

The super is really friendly and always came by to check what we were having a problem with The apartment we had was lovely, it was fully renovated. The apartment didn’t feel like it belonged in that building Considering that it was on the first floor we did not experience any issues with pest

Cons

We had major issues with the management office. We had stolen checks that were cashed by someone else. The office never notified us that there was missing money. Just our luck we had a second check stolen a year later and without warning for us to try to figure out what was going on they proceeded with evicting papers and going to court. Mind you they were involved in the ongoing investigation with the banks as we tried to get our money back. We had the noisiest neighbors in the building next door playing incredibly loud music at 6am and really late nights no matter what day of the week There was often drunk tenants on the entry staircase blocking you to go in and out of the building There was always trash by the entry way The trash was always smelly and countless rats There’s was always somebody getting shot/stabbed etc either on the same block or 183rd st

Advice to the owners

Get a different management office that isn’t rude, I went a couple of times to the office to drop off my rent check since I was scared of it to get stolen and every time I went I received rude remarks. Sign your building up for online payments
