Nice building with overbearing landlord
Pros
Well maintained building. Good layout for floors.
Cons
Very overbearing live-in landlord who tends to drive out tenants within a year and sometimes less. We stuck it out longer than most but saw other tenants come and go as he got very into their (and our) personal business and comings and goings. He will not allow your guests to let themselves in our out, even family members who are briefly visiting. In addition he will withhold as much of your deposit as he can, for things that are part of the normal wear and tear of an apartment. He is the only landlord I’ve had in 30 years of renting who has tried to keep some of my deposit for really nonsensical things.
