Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Abby Yaghoubi’s properties are characterized by excellent cleanliness and effective garbage management, with residents appreciating her responsiveness regarding maintenance issues. While many tenants enjoy spacious layouts and high ceilings, concerns over heating systems and noise levels have been frequently mentioned. Some buildings, particularly older ones, have high heating costs due to electric systems, which might not be affordable during colder months. Despite these concerns, management is generally praised for being attentive, making the buildings worth considering for those prioritizing a well-maintained living environment, though potential renters should be aware of noise and heating challenges.

Like living here

Pros

The owner is responsive

Cons

It's very loud because it's near a hospital and police station and there are dogs in the building.

Hidden costs of living in this building

Pros

Very clean common areas! Excellent location right off the 103rd St 6 stop.

Cons

This is a VERY old, pre-war building where they've installed electric heating in every unit in order to save on the cost of providing heating to tenants. This results in bills that routinely cross 300,400, 500 dollars a month during the winter - even when the heat is set as low as 68 degrees. Unaffordable to keep the apartment warm.
