Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants of Moshe Silberstein's buildings generally find the properties clean with well-kept common areas, good heating, and useful amenities like rooftop access and laundry via app payments. Responsive management is noted, though some tenants report delays addressing urgent repairs and pest issues, and dislike sudden evictions without clear prior notice. Buildings tend to have paper-thin walls and noise can be an issue. Garbage management varies, and some renters find laundry facilities insufficient for building size. Overall, expect a mix of promptness and occasional slow responsiveness; better communication and building upkeep, especially around maintenance disruptions and trash control, would improve tenant satisfaction.

Reviews

Former tenant·9 minutes ago

It was fine until our floors started warping

Pros

- It was a newer building so no issues with mice or pests. - Management was responsive for repairs, i.e. snaking drains, replacing carbon monoxide detectors, etc.

Cons

- Floor started warping and they evicted us without notice for a week and did not initially want to pay for our lodging for that week. Eventually they did and gave us a discount on 2 months rent. - Only one washer and one dryer for the whole building (9 apartments total) so that was a pain at times - A newer building so cheaply made aka the walls were paper-thin

Advice to the owners

If theres is a situation where you all need to evict the tenants to make repairs throughout the entire apartment, give them 48 hours notice before making the repairs and immediately offer to pay for lodging AND a reduction/free rent for a month for the tenants.

4 year resident and it was fine

Pros

Nice area, nice roof access

Cons

We had a mold problem in our floors and evicted us for a week to fix it without notice.
