Cons
The worst roach infestation I’ve ever seen. It was so bad that they were even in the refrigerator. I never bothered cooking or bringing takeout into that apartment because it was so bad. Then there was the mice and rat problem. There were so many that they wouldn’t bother hiding. The smell throughout the entire building was horrendous. The super would allow stray cats into the building and they would urinate and defecate in the hallway. The landlord was stealing my electricity to power the building and the super was also using my electricity to run a side business making signs and awnings for stores around the neighborhood. Last but far from not least I found out my apartment was illegally divided and the illegal partition was being rented out nightly by the super to sex workers and also as a place for addicts to get high. After countless calls to 311 an inspector finally showed up and within about 5 minutes a vacate order was issued. The Red Cross showed up and putme in a shelter. The owner was supposed to pay me back for all the electricity and lost furniture but never did. I lost thousands
Advice to the owners
Stop being a slumlord
