Horror at Himrod

Pros

My hope is not to create conflict but to emphasize the importance of respectful housing practices. Every resident, regardless of income or neighborhood, deserves to be treated with dignity and fairness. Safe housing requires mutual respect, honest communication, and compliance with the law. I continue to hope that my concerns will receive thoughtful consideration and that any disputes can be resolved through the appropriate legal and administrative channels. No tenant should feel that they are living under constant fear or uncertainty. A home should be a place of privacy, security, and peace, where every individual can live free from intimidation and with confidence that their rights will be respected.

Cons

One of the most difficult aspects has been the feeling of constantly being watched. Security cameras directed toward entrances and exits have contributed to a sense that my movements, visitors, deliveries, and daily routines were being observed. Whether leaving for work, returning home with groceries, or receiving packages, I have often felt uncomfortable and self-conscious. The emotional impact has been intensified by interactions that I perceived as demeaning or dismissive. Routine encounters in common areas sometimes left me feeling belittled through comments or attitudes that I interpreted as disrespectful. Rather than feeling comfortable in my own home, I found myself avoiding common spaces whenever possible.

Advice to the owners

Over the years, I have experienced repeated complaints and restrictions that I believe have gone beyond ordinary landlord-tenant expectations. I have often been told that I was making too much noise even during normal daily activities. I have been discouraged from having overnight guests or family members visit, and I have frequently felt that ordinary aspects of daily life were being monitored and criticized.I have also become deeply troubled by what I perceive to be persistent rumors and assumptions about me. In my experience, these rumors have affected how I believe some people within the neighborhood interact with me. Whether those perceptions are accurate or not, the result has been a profound sense of isolation and fear. Every outing has felt stressful because I often worry about being judged or misunderstood. Living under these conditions has taken a significant emotional toll. No tenant should have to feel afraid to enter or leave their own apartment, invite family members
