Pros:
The neighbors are friendly and many have lived here a long time. Some of the units are relatively updated with decent appliances and it's conveniently located on a quiet street in Park Slope close to the R and FG trains.
Cons:
The building is not taken care of AT ALL, there is no super available 24/7 and up until last fall there was a major rodent problem in the garbage area. The laundry in the basement is coin operated which is terribly inconvenient and the common stairs can sometimes go weeks without being swept or mopped. They're constantly getting sanitation violations for the garbage in the front of the building. It sticks out on a block with mostly brownstones and people who take care of their sidewalk areas.
Advice to owner:
Take better care of your buildings and hire a 24/7 on call super.
