Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Alan Fisher reveal a pattern of inconsistent management and maintenance. Many tenants report poor responsiveness from the landlord, with persistent issues like mold, pest infestations (especially rodents and roaches), and cleanliness problems in common areas. Garbage management and building upkeep are frequently criticized, alongside delayed or ignored repairs. While some properties have friendly neighbors and convenient locations, noise disturbances and outdated facilities are common complaints. A few buildings show decent management and tenant satisfaction, but overall, prospects should expect challenges in maintenance responsiveness and ongoing pest control efforts. Improved communication and proactive building care are strongly needed.

Former tenant·10 minutes ago

Do not live in 570 Ocean Ave Apt 1G

Pros

Close to train, convenient location, great neighbors who have lived in the building for a long time

Cons

I dealt with a leaking ceiling and mold for MONTHS while the owner was completely unresponsive. Mushrooms grew out of my walls, water leaked through electrical sockets, my apartment flooded with two inches of water, etc. Eventually the ceiling collapsed (thankfully while I wasn't home) and although it was repaired the source of the leaking was never addressed. I had a professional come test for mold and the results came back very high.

Advice to the owners

Treat your tenants like humans.

Advice to the owners
