Great location, terrible landlord
Pros
This is one of the most beautiful blocks in all of NYC Other tenants are lovely with many living there for many years
Cons
The landlord who bought the building about 4 years ago is not a good person, he has allowed this beautiful building fall into disrepair. I believe in many ways he may be trying but he is simply outside of his depth in managing this property. The building went for almost 2 years with no gas - which resulted in no heat or cooking gas for most tenants. Landlord gave small concessions but ultimately mismanaged this entire project. Landlord seemsb motivated to get tenants to move out & to increase rents.
Advice to the owners
Sell the property & get it into more capable hands. Don't be mean & vindictive either.
