Nice, Old Walk-Up Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
I really liked how nice and quiet it was in the rooms away from the street. Even near the street, it is peaceful most of the time. Neighbors were friendly, too.
Cons:
Sometimes neighbors would play some loud music, but it was never obnoxious and didn't happen past quiet hours so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Not Terrible, but needs work
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighborhood is fine
Cons:
Building management is slow to address issues
Advice to owner:

Heat and hot water issues (summertime roach issues)
Former Tenant
Pros:
Overall pretty well maintained, large space for price, heat and hot water included, live in super, elevator building
Cons:
Can hear dogs barking, had many times I was frozen due to boiler not working/ broken (effects the heat and hot water), summertime roach problem, basement not clean many times (seen rats there), super answers phone maybe 5% of the time if I’m lucky
Advice to owner:
If maintenance was addressed properly and in a timely manner would be good

This place is GARBAGE
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nothing good about this building/apts
Cons:
The common areas are always dirty
Too noisy
Extreme temperatures
Management Couldn’t care less about any issue
Super is mediocre
Issues get “resolve” in an average of 4 months
No light bulbs in common areas
Rats and roaches EVERYWHERE
Elevator never works
Missing packages once a week
No hot water
Trash issues
Rude management staff
THIS BUILDING IS DUMP
Advice to owner:
Start caring about the living condition of the tenant and fire NASA. Worst customer service ever

Nice and Quiet
Former Tenant
Pros:
On a side street so noise is minimal and neighbors are respectful
Cons:
Just by nature of the architecture there is not a lot of natural light and almost no direct sunlight. Great for me as I work nights but not realistic for most

Rough Winters and Broken Windows
Former Tenant
Pros:
No pests (only saw random houseflies, 2 roaches over 2 years and nothing else)
Quiet neighbors/quiet street
Good area (lots of grocery stores and other amenities)
Cons:
Loud radiators
All windows in the apartment were broken in some way (crooked, hard/impossible to open or close)
Generally crusty (standard for minimally renovated pre-war building)
HEAT AND HOT WATER WENT OUT AT LEAST 4 TIMES EACH WINTER (never for a period of more than 24 hours, but usually pretty close to that)
Advice to owner:
Replace the boiler!

First NY Apt
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighbors, cute neighborhood, clean building
Cons:
Packages get stolen a lot…
Advice to owner:
Would love video surveillance in the lobby
Over 3 years ago
Friendly and Clean
Former Tenant
Pros:
Onsite super is responsive, friendly, and respectful
Neighbors are friendly and kind
Laundry and trash is in the basement so you don’t have to go outside in the winter
Cons:
The walls are thin so I can often hear my upstairs elderly neighbor as she moves around. If anyone plays music or chats in the lobby I can hear it very clearly. I can hear a buzzer in the basement go off throughout the day during winter time. It’s very annoying.

Nice block, building has a multiude of issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Peaceful, quiet building, nice neighbors.
Cons:
Dirty unkempt building, trash and garbage poorly maintained, unresponsive superintendent
Over 4 years ago
All you could ask for
Former Tenant
Pros:
In house super, family oriented, responsive owners, courtyard, rent stabilized, elevator, laundry on site, close to train, restaurants, groceries. Most of all a quiet and relatively green neighborhood
Cons:
Old building and all that comes with that
Advice to owner:
Germaine is fantastic!
