Overall a recommended place to call home in Carroll Gardens
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very responsive and kind super. Communicative owner/building management. Reasonable rent increases (less than 5% over several years) No issues with hot water/heat/repairs/emergency issues were immediately addressed.
Cons:
Older building not updated - no buzzer/outdated doorbell system, older unsecured mailboxes in vestibule/hallway area. Pipes have frozen before in the winter due to older/poor insulation. Rent is paid by personal check/old school. No laundry in the building.
Advice to owner:
Updates are needed to the doorbell system, vestibule area. Building amenities such as a shared washer and dryer are needed.
