Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for buildings managed by William OConnor reveals a mixed management experience. Positive highlights include responsive supers, especially praised in several locations for timely help and building upkeep. Many renters appreciate amenities like in-unit laundry, dishwashers, and well-kept common areas. However, pest control issues—particularly roaches—persist in multiple buildings, and heating problems are frequently noted. Cleanliness varies, with some buildings struggling in garbage management and maintenance. Noise levels are generally acceptable, and neighbors are mostly viewed positively. Management responsiveness receives mixed reviews, with some tenants finding communication slow or poor. Rent levels are considered high, sometimes without clear justification.

Reviews

Not worth it - tons of roaches, horrible super

Pros

Washer/dryer in unit, small dishwasher Good location

Cons

Tons of roaches, had a bad mosquito problem last October. Building management doesn't do anything about the horrible super. Super is very unreliable and doesn't come to fix urgent issues.

Overpriced for what it is

Pros

The package room and lobby are nice

Cons

Soo overpriced. If you live in 311, the laundry room and gym are in the other building down the street. The laundry room is coin operated which is such a hassle. They’ll raise your rent even if you’re an unproblematic tenant who doesn’t ask for anything (in my experience). It’s a completely gutted pre-war building so the renovations also have some flaws (cheap cabinets, no grout in floor tiles). Neighbors are not friendly
