The neighbors are absolutely horrible. There are noises at every hour of every day. People allow their dogs to pee on the fake grass on the roof instead of taking them outside. Despite there being a trash chute on every floor, people leave their trash lying in the trash room. There is an infestation of roaches in the building, when we moved in there was a sign promising an exterminator service every month. Soon after moving in, this disappeared and the exterminator did not come unless we specifically asked and barely even then. Management does not understand that people have jobs and can’t be home all day every day to wait for an exterminator and will not reschedule appointments. During a snowstorm our heat stopped working and the management company did not respond at all “because it was a weekend”. We had to report them to HPD for anything to even happen and got threatened for doing so. The rent will increase by multiple hundred dollars every year. People smoke in their apartments.
Advice to the owners
Tenants are people, not just profit
no heat, inconsistent hot water, neglectful management, keys don't work
